Global law firm cements commitment to Edmonton, will move into much-anticipated new tower in 2019

Edmonton, AB (July 20, 2016) - ICE District Joint Venture announced today that Dentons Canada LLP (Dentons) has agreed to lease office space in Stantec Tower. When it moves to its new space in Q2 2019, Dentons will occupy more than two and a half floors of the world-class structure.

When completed in fall 2018, Stantec Tower will not only be the tallest structure in Edmonton, but among the tallest in Western Canada. The tower will rise to 66 storeys and is comprised of 28 storeys of office space and approximately 481 residential units.

Stantec Tower is a mixed-use building that will feature office, retail and residential space totaling over one million square feet. The structure, located at 102 Street and 103 Avenue, will be targeting LEED Gold certification upon completion.

“After being in our current space for almost 35 years, moving to Stantec Tower is an exciting opportunity for us to show our commitment to the city of Edmonton and our community,” said Carman R. McNary, Q.C., Managing Partner, Denton’s Canada LLP. “Dentons believes that “Challengers Never Rest”, and we are thrilled to join ICE District as it takes on the challenge of reshaping Edmonton for the future. Joining other great tenants in the Stantec Tower demonstrates our commitment to Edmonton and connects us even further with Edmonton business.”

“Dentons is a world-class law firm and Stantec Tower is a worldclass facility – the two are a great match” said Glen Scott, Senior Vice-President, Real Estate, Katz Group, a joint venture partner of ICE District. “Adding Dentons to the tenant list of Stantec Tower is a strong endorsement for the future of ICE District. We’re very happy to have them join the other notable organizations already a part of ICE District.”
