ONE Properties and TD Greystone Asset Management Sign Lease for Amazon Fulfillment Centre in Leduc County

Amazon expands footprint in Alberta with new facility

EDMONTON (December 17, 2018) – ONE Properties and TD Greystone Asset Management (TD Greystone) are pleased to announce a lease agreement with Amazon to open a fulfillment centre in Leduc County, on the border of Edmonton city limits. The 1-million square foot facility will be developed on 58 acres of land within Border Business Park, a development at the centre of Alberta’s industrial hub. This will be Amazon’s second fulfillment centre in Alberta.

The project will employ approximately 700 workers over the term of the construction project. As well, the new facility will provide 600 new jobs. Associates will pick, pack and ship items to customers such as books, electronics, toys and more.

Border Business Park has been developed over the last several years by TD Greystone in partnership with ONE Properties. The Park is situated on the border of the City of Edmonton and Leduc County, directly north of Nisku. Border Business Park offers the new Amazon facility exemplary access to a diverse range of amenities, public transit, major roadways, the Edmonton region and Alberta as a whole. The facility is scheduled for completion in early 2020.
