As Asset Manager at ONE Properties, Joe is responsible for the asset management of a portfolio of five million square feet of income-producing properties in Alberta. Joe works closely with the property management and leasing teams to ensure ONE’s clients’ objectives are achieved. Prior to joining ONE Properties, Joe gained asset management and portfolio management experience working with a large institutional landlord and a Canadian REIT with responsibilities for markets in Western Canada.
As the General Manager, Stacey is responsible for advancing tenant engagement, sustainability and operational policy and process integration for properties within ICE District. With over 15 years’ experience in the commercial and retail real estate industry, she has held progressive leadership positions with North America’s largest entertainment and shopping destination and with a Canadian REIT. Stacey is a licensed Associate with RECA with certification in Property Management and has been appointed to the BOMA Edmonton Board of Directors. She has attained the Certified Retail Real Estate Professional (CRRP) certification, is a Fitwel Ambassador and is currently pursuing the LEED Green Associate credential.
As the Senior Project Manager for Edmonton, Ben leads teams of consultants and contractors in the design development and construction phases of various commercial and residential projects in Alberta including ICE District. His role includes developing and monitoring of overall strategic construction plan and primarily the delivery of the projects to base build, shell and core construction. He also coordinates with the leasing team on final tenant fit-out requirements for commercial buildings as well as customer care and sales on the residential buildings. Ben’s experience specializes in the delivery of large-scale commercial construction projects including commercial retail and office, residential high-rise, healthcare facilities, airports and prisons.
As the Senior Project Manger of Industrial, Tony manages the design and construction of the industrial portfolio in Edmonton. He brings significant experience managing large complex projects from design through to the completion of the warranty period. Prior to joining ONE Properties, Tony spent the majority of his career with a major national general contractor completing projects throughout Western Canada. Tony currently has his Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) and LEED Green Associate designations.
As a Senior Project Manager at ONE Properties, Saad manages the day-to-day construction process for all industrial and retail projects in the Ontario market to ensure the consultant and contractor teams deliver projects on time and on budget. He works closely with the business unit leaders and provides feedback on related construction costs, due diligence and schedules. Saad assists the leasing teams with providing construction-related inputs to help secure tenant leases and to deliver completed tenant improvements.
As the Senior Project Manager of Commercial at ONE Properties, Tony manages the construction process for all retail projects in the northern Alberta market to ensure the consultant and contractor teams deliver projects on time and on budget. He also works closely with the leasing team to ensure that construction-related landlord commitments to tenants are met. In addition, Tony provides leadership to TI project managers, design consultants and general contractors in the execution and development of retail, land servicing and low-rise residential projects. Tony has over 35 years of construction management experience and has worked on numerous high-profile projects in Alberta, with a focus on mixed-use high end residential and retail projects. Tony has a Master Project Manager (MPM) designation through the American Academy of Project Management (AAPM).
As the Director of Property Management at ONE Properties, Cheryl is a key member of the management team, responsible for leading the property management staff in the day-to-day management of Edmonton’s Industrial and Office portfolio, offering support and customer service to our tenants and clients. She works closely with the VP of Property Management and Head Office to anticipate and respond to the requirements of owners and stakeholders. Cheryl has over 20 years of property management and building operations experience and has worked for both regional and national owners on a variety of asset classes, including office, industrial and retail buildings. She holds a Real Property Manager (RPA) designation and a current Real Estate license.
As the Senior Vice President of Corporate Affairs at ONE Properties, Roberta works as a member of ONE’s leadership team to develop, communicate and execute the overall business strategy. She is responsible for developing and executing ONE’s people strategy, guiding ONE’s internal and external communications, and advancing investor relations and governance practices. Roberta brings a diverse background to her mandate from a long career in financial services with leadership roles in communications and government relations, human resources, risk management, marketing, strategic planning and banking.
As the Leasing and Development Coordinator at ONE Properties, Cole works with the industrial team on lease transactions for properties in the Greater Edmonton Area. He recently graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Commerce degree and a certificate in Real Estate. He is currently pursuing a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Designation.
As the Vice President of Design and Construction for Multi-Family at ONE Properties, Richard is responsible for leading teams of consultants and contractors through the design, permitting and construction phases of ONE’s multi-family, mixed-use and commercial projects. He specializes in large-scale mixed-use high-rise development and construction projects including hotels, purpose-built rentals, condominiums and commercial office towers. Richard comes with over 20 years of real estate experience with nationally recognized companies ranging from architects to developers. Richard has had significant project leadership experience while working on The Bow tower, Keynote Urban Village, The Verve, and most recently the completion of the Marriott hotel and SODO apartment projects.
As an Executive Assistant at ONE Properties, Miranda provides executive-level administrative support to the President and Chief Executive Officer as well as the Chief Financial Officer. Her responsibilities include document control, expense management, travel arrangements and assisting with project-specific tasks. Miranda has an extensive background as an Executive Assistant for various industries including land development, property management and financial services.
As a Property Manager at ONE Properties, Usman manages the portfolio in the Greater Toronto Area that consists of retail and industrial projects as well as assets awaiting redevelopment. He has an extensive background in residential and commercial property management and recently worked for a national restaurant chain as both a landlord and a tenant. Usman has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree and is currently pursuing a Real Property Administrator (RPA) certification through BOMI International.
As the Director of Industrial at ONE Properties, Laurae is responsible for development, leasing and sales of ONE’s industrial projects in the greater Calgary region. Before joining ONE, she gained valuable experience working with two large institutional landlords and a national communications company after starting her career with a boutique industrial brokerage firm.
As the Development and Leasing Coordinator at ONE Properties, Madeleine works closely with the development and retail leasing teams on initiating and completing leasing transactions as well as assisting with the preparation of site plan designs and tenant coordination between various project management departments. She also supports the team by coordinating with consultants to provide application materials and organizing planning applications, project files, site plans and proformas. Madeleine recently graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree majoring in Geography and is currently in the process of obtaining her Ontario Real Estate License.
As Director, Asset Management at ONE Properties, Ian is responsible for the origination and execution of value creating strategies for a portfolio of approximately eight million square feet in Alberta and Ontario and approximately one thousand acres of developable land. Ian works closely with property management, leasing and development to ensure ONE Properties’ client’s objectives are achieved. Prior to joining ONE Properties, Ian gained extensive experience in asset management working with large institutional landlords and a Canadian REIT with responsibilities for markets in Western Canada.
As the Director of Asset Management at ONE Properties, Dan is responsible for the asset management of a portfolio of income-producing properties and developments located in Alberta and Ontario. Dan is committed to creating value for ONE’s clients through proactive asset management and collaboration with property management and leasing in order to provide first class service for both tenants and clients. Prior to joining ONE Properties, Dan spent 14 years at one of Canada’s largest institutional real estate managers where he gained experience in acquisitions, dispositions, property management, leasing and asset management.
As the Senior Advisor, High-Rise Construction at ONE Properties, Paul oversees the construction and logistics of ONE’s developments in Western Canada and provides oversight to all team members. Paul has over 30 years of experience in project/construction management. Having extensive experience with complex projects, Paul brings significant expertise to construction planning, logistics, means and methods, and project close-out. Paul is primarily a strategist, developing solutions to a diverse range of construction challenges and ensuring that projects are delivered on-time and on-budget.
As the Senior Vice President, Multi-Family Eastern Canada at ONE Properties, Ian is responsible for the management and strategic direction of the multi-family portfolio in Eastern Canada. He oversees the acquisition, development, and completion of residential projects, focused primarily on urban, transit-oriented locations. Ian is involved in all aspects of development and marketing activities, creating and managing all development proformas, and liaising with partners for updates and approvals. Ian has over 25 years of broad real estate experience involving acquisition, entitlement, financing, marketing, construction, and delivery for urban and mixed-use developments.
Kaleb oversees ONE’s property management accounting team while leading the corporate reporting for both the management and asset management entities. He is charged with process improvement; ensuring the application and maintenance of best practices throughout ONE’s property management portfolio. Kaleb achieved a Chartered Accountant (CPA, CA) designation in 2011 and has earned experience in both public and private practice in a variety of industries.
As the Vice President of Retail Leasing, Robert oversees the design and implementation of a retail leasing strategy for the standalone retail projects and mixed-use developments. Robert and his team work extensively with the development, finance and asset management teams to ensure accurate planning, forecasting and retail tenant performance across the portfolio. He is also responsible for lease negotiations and building and fostering relationships with existing and prospective tenants. With over 20 years experience in commercial real estate leasing and development, he has worked on various retail formats including enclosed shopping malls, mixed-use developments and open-air shopping centres in Ontario and the Atlantic and Prairie provinces.
As the Leasing Coordinator at ONE Properties, Forest works alongside the retail leasing team on initiating and completing retail transactions. In addition, he assists with the preparation of site plan designs, proforma analysis, and construction forecasting. Forest has a Bachelor of Business Administrations degree with Honours and is currently pursuing the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
As the Vice President, Commercial Construction, West at ONE Properties, Dean is responsible for leading teams of consultants and contractors in the design development, permitting, and construction phases of ONE’s land servicing and commercial construction projects in Alberta. Dean also oversees the commercial construction team on land servicing, industrial, retail, and tenant coordination projects. With over 20 years of experience in the commercial and industrial construction industry, Dean has amassed extensive knowledge that provides him the ability to take raw land from acquisition, through land servicing, to the completion of vertical construction.
As the Director of Multi-Family Development, Cole is involved in all phases of development including acquisition, entitlements and project design. He is responsible for coordinating with a team of project consultants to ensure the overall success of each project. Cole has worked on numerous high-profile projects in the Alberta region, with a focus on mixed-use and residential typologies. He received a Master of Science in Real Estate Development with Distinction.
As the Senior Vice President, Design and Construction at ONE Properties, Tom oversees the management and strategic direction of the commercial design and construction team. He provides leadership to project managers, design consultants, and general contractors in the execution and development of retail, industrial, land servicing, and low-rise residential projects. Tom is responsible for acquisitions, due diligence, proforma budgeting along with scheduling, development, and managing systems and controls to streamline divisional operations.
As the Vice President of Finance and Accounting, Martin is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the finance and accounting department. He is responsible for managing the accounting, financial planning and analysis, reporting, treasury, audit and tax functions at ONE. Martin holds a Chartered Accountant (CA) designation and a Master of Accounting (MAcc) degree.
As the Director of Operations for Property Management, Paula is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of Calgary’s portfolio of industrial and commercial real estate. Paula has over 30 years of property management and building operations experience and has worked for both regional and national owners on a variety of asset classes which includes office, industrial, retail and medical buildings. She holds a current Real Estate license.
As the Vice President of Multi-Family Development at ONE Properties, Thomas is responsible for the planning and implementation of strategic multi-family projects. A Chartered Planning and Development Surveyor by training, he has over 20 years experience running complex urban development projects in various markets including London (UK), Toronto and Western Canada. Thomas is also involved with managing acquisitions and leading all planning and development activities, including business plan creation and delivery as well as overseeing marketing activities, monitoring construction management projects and reporting to key stakeholders. He has a particular focus on high-rise mixed-use and hospitality projects, and the delivery of large-scale master plans. Thomas also earned his Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation.
As the President and CEO of ONE Properties, Darren oversees the development and implementation of the strategic direction and vision, building a strong and empowering organizational culture, while providing guidance and mentorship to ONE employees. Darren provides oversight and is responsible for playing a central role in new fund development and investor relations while being actively involved in recruiting executive talent.
Michael oversees the management and strategic direction of the multi-family portfolio in Western Canada. He is involved in all aspects of development and marketing activities, creating and managing all development proformas, and liaising with partners for updates and approvals. Michael has extensive experience in acquisitions, development and planning for mixed-use, high-rise commercial, and residential development projects. With a distinguished career in land acquisition and multi-family development, Michael has a history of positively impacting long-term success in a strategic manner.
As a Property Manager at ONE Properties, Ulrike oversees the management of industrial properties in Calgary. She has over 9 years of experience in the commercial property management industry and holds a Real Estate License in Property Management. Ulrike joined ONE in 2014 as Property Administrator and has since been promoted to her current role as Property Manager.
As the Vice President of Design and Construction for Multi-Family at ONE Properties, Julie oversees the design and construction activities of ONE’s developments in Toronto as well as provides support for developments in Calgary. Prior to joining ONE, Julie managed several high-profile, mixed-use high-rise buildings in Toronto. She was involved in all stages of these properties, from preliminary design through to condominium registration. She also spent several years managing numerous internationally-funded projects throughout the Caribbean including, but not limited to commercial buildings, colleges, schools and the redevelopment of an important trans-shipment port. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.
As a Property Manager at ONE Properties, Kathryn oversees the management of the Edmonton industrial portfolio. She has over 10 years of experience in the commercial property management industry and holds a Real Estate License in Property Management. She is currently pursuing her Real Property Administrator (RPA) Designation through BOMI International. Kathryn joined ONE in 2016 as Property Administrator and has since been promoted to her current role as Property Manager.
As the Senior Vice President, Retail at ONE Properties, Stefan oversees the management and strategic direction of the retail portfolio across Canada. He is responsible for all retail development activities, creating and managing all development proformas, sourcing acquisitions, and negotiating leases with key tenants as well as sourcing and liaising with development partners. Stefan has over 25 years of real estate development experience. Prior to joining ONE, Stefan oversaw the development of 25 million square feet of retail, residential, and mixed-use developments across the country for over 16 years.
As the Accounting Manager at ONE Properties, Jason is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the accounting department in accordance with established policies and procedures. He also provides oversight to ensure the accuracy and integrity of our annual and internal financial reporting process, both internally and externally. He brings over 6 years of experience in the public practice industry along with 8 years in the banking industry. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree and has earned a Chartered Accountant (CA) designation.
As Vice President of Industrial at ONE Properties, Kelly is responsible for development, leasing and sales of industrial and office projects in the Greater Edmonton Area. He has extensive experience in commercial real estate predominantly in the fields of leasing, development, and property management. Prior to joining ONE Properties, Kelly spent the majority of his career with institutional landlords and developers, after starting his career with an international brokerage firm.
As the Chief Financial Officer of ONE Properties, Laurie oversees all facets of the finance and accounting departments. She is responsible for all financial structuring, reporting, financial agreements and cash management for all assets of ONE entities. She works closely with the President and CEO and General Counsel on corporate development, as well as overseeing and managing all Canada Revenue Agency relationships and reporting, debt sourcing and lender relationships.
As the Vice President of Corporate and Legal at ONE Properties, Melissa oversees all legal matters and corporate governance. She acts as the liaison between outside legal counsel and the executive office team. Melissa brings over fifteen years of paralegal experience in corporate, real estate and litigation. She has a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a major in Legal Studies and a minor in Accounting.
As Project Accounting Manager at ONE Properties, Sarah oversees all project-related accounting for our developments as well as working with the Vice President, Finance and Accounting and the finance team in delivering high-quality analytics. She brings over five years of experience in public practice and has experience with tax and audit in various industries. Sarah holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree with a major in Accounting and has her Chartered Accountant (CA) designation.
As the Vice President of Development at ONE Properties, Jeffery is responsible for the design and implementation of the retail portfolio across Canada as well as several industrial projects in the Greater Toronto Area. He is involved in many aspects throughout the acquisition and development phases, including liaising with municipal staff, key anchor tenants and partners. Jeffery has over 15 years of wide-ranging real estate development experience with commercial, industrial and mixed-use projects in both Canada and the United States. Prior to joining ONE Properties, Jeffery worked for one of the largest retailers in Canada where he was responsible for the planning and development activities for greenfield store locations and expansion projects across the country. Jeffery also worked for a reputable real estate developer in southeast Florida focusing on design and project approvals for large commercial and mixed-use sites.
As the Vice President, Property Management at ONE Properties, Kimberlie is responsible for the leadership and oversight of the property management team. She is responsible for developing, leading and inspiring the team to deliver best-in-class standards of customer service, maintenance and property operations as well as ensuring continual optimization of programs. She oversees all aspects of property operations in Edmonton, Calgary and the Greater Toronto Area. Kimberlie brings over 23 years of experience in asset and property management, working from the perspective of an owner, asset manager, third party manager and tenant. She holds a Real Property Administrator (RPA) designation and a current Real Estate License.
Lisa started with ONE in 2015 and has moved from an administrative role into managing the retail portfolio. She has over seven years of experience in the commercial property management industry and holds a Real Estate License in Property Management.
As the Senior Vice President, Properties at ONE Properties, Bill is responsible for the management and strategic direction of ONE’s Properties Group and industrial development team. As leader of the Properties Group, Bill oversees a team of property and asset management professionals that manage a large and diverse portfolio of real estate assets on behalf of partners and clients. His Industrial development duties include site selection & acquisition, development planning, proformas, leasing, land servicing, and partner liaison. Bill has extensive experience in the management, development, acquisition, disposition, and leasing of commercial properties. He has an established track record of creating value in commercial properties through proactive asset management and leasing.
